Andrii Kyrychenko
an artist who considers himself a co-author of his own works.
an artist who considers himself a co-author of his own works.
The artist is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) and a participant in numerous prestigious international biennales, competitions, and exhibitions. His works are held in eight museums worldwide, including in China, South Korea, Italy, Spain, and Ukraine, as well as in private collections across the globe.
In his artistic practice, the artist favors exploration. This is reflected in the diversity of series that challenge the viewer’s certainty that all the presented works are by the same creator.
“In my understanding, a work of art is a collection of imprints of our actions and thoughts recorded in the material. However, in my work, I strive to conceal the handmade origin of the object, leaving no traces of intervention. It is important to me that the material itself dominates the piece — only then does the work emerge as a natural link in the evolution of nature itself. In this process, the artist becomes not so much a creator as a co-author who listens to the material and allows it to reveal itself. Each quality of the material demands its own unique form of expression, and its voice cannot be confined within a single series.”
The presented series do not strive for refinement and, as they evolve, branch out in many directions. This is easy to trace if you pay attention to the journey the artist invites you to take.
A special mention goes to the project "Books", in which the artist brought together all of their creative preferences — while intentionally leaving it without belonging to any particular series.
